A passer-by on Tuesday discovered a body near a pond in Seminole County.

The body of a 300-pound, 45-year-old man was found partially in a retention pond off Lake Mary Boulevard near Live Oak Court.

Seminole County sheriff's officials said there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body, and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Several homeless people live in the area, although it's not known if the person whose body was found lived in the area.

Officials said the body appears to have been in the area for awhile.
