WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- A science teacher at a Winter Garden high school has been arrested on charges that he threatened to shoot students.Jerrold Gabriel, a science teacher at West Orange High School, was arrested after an incident last month when he took a student to see a guidance counselor, deputies said.According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the counselor said that Gabriel demanded that the student be placed at the top of the waiting list for a special class, and that he would shoot any other students placed ahead of the student.The principal was informed of the incident and Gabriel was suspended from his job.Gabriel has to be cleared by a psychiatrist before returning to the classroom, according to a sheriff's report.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
