Juvenile Airlifted To Melbourne Hospital

POSTED: Tuesday, October 27, 2009

An adult was killed and a juvenile was airlifted in serious condition on Tuesday in a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County.

The single-vehicle accident occurred on northbound I-95 near mile-marker 230 in Mims at about 5:40 p.m., Brevard County Fire-Rescue said.

"Two persons were ejected from the vehicle," Orlando Dominguez, spokesman for county fire-rescue, told Local 6 News partner Florida Today.

The juvenile was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Dominguez said.

Southbound lanes of Interstate 95 were temporarily blocked as a result of the accident.
