Man At Light Shot In Carjacking Attempt

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A man was shot early Wednesday morning by three carjackers at at Orlando intersection, deputies said.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a man in his 20s was stopped at a traffic light at Sand Lake Road and John Young Parkway at about 1 a.m. when another car pulled up next to him.
Three men in a silver Honda Civic tried to force the driver from his car at gunpoint, but he resisted, deputies said.
Shots were fired at the driver, who was struck by at least one bullet but was able to drive away and call 911, deputies said.
The carjackers drove off eastbound on Sand Lake Road.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery, deputies said.
The carjackers were described only as having dreadlocks.
