LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- A 4-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital late Saturday night after her father's golf cart toppled at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, deputies said.
The accident occurred at 10:30 p.m. at 4510 Fort Wilderness Trail.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, the girl was riding with her father, 37-year-old Charles Wickt, in their personal golf cart when the vehicle overturned, partially pinning the girl underneath. Wickt told authorities he had swerved to avoid another cart that was driving toward them without lights.
The girl was airlifted to an Orlando hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
