The body of a missing pregnant woman has been found in a Panhandle bayou.

Authorities said 25-year-old Samira Watkins disappeared late Thursday. She was two months pregnant.

Assistant Pensacola Police Chief Chip Simmons said Watkins's body was located Monday in Bayou Grande in southwestern Escambia County.

Family members said Watkins managed a local fast-food restaurant and was attending junior college while raising her 4-year-old son.

Police are investigating her death.
