Report Focuses On Caylee's Remains

Casey Anthony Charged With Murder In Daughter's Death

POSTED: Friday, November 6, 2009
UPDATED: 4:55 pm EST November 6, 2009

An entomologist report shows that the body of Caylee Anthony was dumped in a wooded lot in late June 2008 or early July 2008, which conflicts with a previous statement made by Casey Anthony's defense team.

The report was part of 2,100 pages released on Friday by the state attorney's office released as part of a public records request. The newly released documents and images have already been seen by Anthony's defense team.

Anthony, 23, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were found in December. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July 2008.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty, saying that Caylee was kidnapped by a baby sitter.

An attorney representing Anthony recently stated in court that the defense has evidence showing Anthony is innocent, claiming that it could prove Caylee's body was dumped in the woods after Anthony was in jail.

The entomologist report also states that Caylee's body was moved from the trunk of her mother's car after decomposing for a few days.

A Disney bag containing a Gatorade bottle and a syringe was found near Caylee's remains, and an FBI chemical analysis shows the syringe had testosterone in it, according to the newly released documents.
