Pedestrian Leaving Bar Struck, Killed

Victim Walked Into Path Of Vehicle, FHP Says

A pedestrian was struck and killed early Monday morning after walking into the path of a vehicle while leaving a Volusia County bar, authorities said.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a person was walking east from the Iron Horse Saloon, located on U.S. Highway 1 near Airport Road in Ormond Beach, and failed to see an oncoming vehicle.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was hit and killed by the vehicle, troopers said.

No other details have been released.
