OCALA, Fla. -- The Army has confirmed a Central Florida soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.Army Spc. Gary Gooch Jr. of Ocala died in Afghanistan along with another soldier last week.Military officials said both soldiers died after their vehicle was attacked with an improvised explosive device.Gooch was serving on the Fifth Stryker Brigade combat team out of Ft. Lewis, Wash.
