Winter Garden Police Launch Investigation Into Shooting

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- A woman was shot inside a home located in a Winter Garden gated community in a home invasion related to a dispute over money, according to police. The shooting occurred at about 1 p.m. near Roberts Point Drive off Stoneybrook West Parkway, east of state Road 535.The woman was taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition is not known.Winter Garden police said two people are in custody, but a search is under way for more possible suspects. The shooting suspects were armed with assault rifles, police said.One of the suspects said he had nothing to do with the shooting. Both are being questioned by authorities.Local 6 News helicopter Sky 6 showed numerous police cars and fire rescue trucks in a subdivision with several lots under construction.Lockdowns at West Orange High School and Lake Whitney Elementary School were lifted Tuesday afternoon.No other details were immediately known.Watch Local 6 News for more on this breaking story.
