A missing 5-year-old Volusia County boy was found safe late Thursday night in a heavily-wooded area following a six-hour search, according to authorities. Kaleb Carreli was found in a wooded area in DeLeon Springs at about 11:55 p.m. after being reported missing at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.Kaleb disappeared after chasing his dog into the woods, Volusia County sheriff's deputies said.Deputies conducting a search with K-9 units heard the boy calling out for help. A helicopter was also used in the search.The boy was not injured but was taken to Florida Hospital DeLand as a precaution.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
