Crystal Candy

Crystal has been reporting for the Local 6 First News show since joining WKMG-TV in 2002.

Crystal considers living in Orlando "a dream come true" and still remembers her special first experience in the area where she was "slimed."

As a teenager, she came to Orlando to audition for "Family Double Dare" at Universal Studios. In fact, you may still see her as a 13-year-old on reruns of the game show on Nickelodeon.

Before joining Local 6 News, Crystal worked at Tennessee television stations in Chattanooga and Nashville; and a television station in Florence, S.C.

She considers herself a "family person" who comes from a musical family. As a child, her parents and sisters had a singing group and used to perform at churches all over the South.

The Candy Family Singers also recorded an album when she was 7 years old.

In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys going to the beach, fishing, skiing, shopping, and doing various projects around the house. Crystal and her husband just purchased a home in Central Florida.
