"And when you say lacerations, was there a lot of blood?" a trooper asked."Not a lot, not a lot," Adams said. "Maybe if you might have bitten your lip.""Did you smell any alcohol on him?" a trooper asked."No alcohol, no any other kind of drug whatsoever. None," Adams said."Did you get close enough that you would think you would have smelled it if he had been drinking?" a trooper said."Definitely. Yes. Yes," Adams said."And you did not smell anything?" a trooper asked."Not at all," Adams replied. After the crash, Woods' wife told Windermere police that she helped get her husband out of the SUV by smashing the windows with a golf club, and Harris said she saw two golf clubs nearby."Did either of you see a golf club out there near the vehicle?" a trooper said during the interview."No," Adams said."I saw two sitting in the seat of the golf cart," Harris said."Two golf clubs?" a trooper asked."Mmm hmm," she replied. The FHP said there were "no claims of domestic violence by any individual" stemming from the accident. An attorney for the neighbors said Woods showed no signs of having been in a fight. The FHP's investigation into the crash was closed on Tuesday, even though Woods refused to talk to troopers. In a six-page report released on Wednesday by the Florida Highway Patrol, which also included 105 photos of the accident scene, the estimated damage to a fire hydrant Woods' SUV struck was $3,000 and the damage to the tree was $200.Woods was charged with careless driving, which carries a $164 fine and four points on his driving record. In a statement posted on his Web site, Woods said he has let his family down and regrets "transgressions" he has committed. Woods' comments on Wednesday came hours after Us Weekly magazine published a cover story alleging that Jaimee Grubbs (pictured, right), a Los Angeles cocktail waitress, had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer. The magazine also posted a voicemail allegedly from Woods to Grubbs.Meanwhile, another woman accused of having an affair with Woods has canceled a Thursday afternoon news conference. Attorney Gloria Allred's office said in a statement that the news conference for her client, Rachel Uchitel, has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.Last week, the National Enquirer published a story alleging the world's No. 1 golfer had been seeing Uchitel, a New York nightclub hostess, and that they recently were together in Melbourne, where Woods competed in the Australian Masters.
Young Golfers React To News
Parents said it has been tough to talk to young golf fans about the adultery accusations against Woods.John Cameron, the director of golf at the Daytona Beach Golf Course said it hasn't been hard to talk to older golf fans, but when it comes to his 12-year-old son who idolizes the golf star, he has a hard time explaining what is going on."I said, 'have you heard about Tiger Woods? He's been on the news. There are some things we ought to talk about,' " Cameron said.Cameron said his son could not believe his hero disappointed not only his wife, but millions of fans. Cameron said the dialogue sparked conversations and right and wrong with his son, as well as consequences and the birds and the bees."Be sure to consider the feelings of others, especially your wife and their relationship. If you have an urge like Tiger did, you need to discuss it with your wife and talk about it with her rather than the selfish acts that he did," Cameron said. "I think it's real tough for young golfers and old golfers, they look up to him. He's been magnificent for the past nine years, he hasn't done anything."While Woods may have lost the respect of some, golfers of all ages said they will forgive him and they believe his sponsors will too."I think they'll be silly if they don't. He deserves a second chance. Maybe his wife won't forgive him, but with his sponsors, he deserves a second chance," Cameron said.
