ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office are working to find a man they said is a serial robber, responsible for as many as eight crimes.
They said they are worried he could become violent, since at each robbery he brandishes a gun before demanding money from store clerks.
Surveillance photos from a Christmas Eve Robbery at Aardvark Liquors on South Ferncreek give the first good look at him. He appears to be a light-skinned Hispanic man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 200 pounds, wearing a clear mask.
Detectives believe the man is responsible for stealing a car in October and then using it in seven robberies over the last two months.
The last two were Christmas Eve at the ABC Liquor in East Winter Park, and 15 minutes later at the Aardvark Liquors less than a mile away.
Orange County deputies found the stolen 1997 green Honda Civic he was using during the robberies over the weekend. They said sometime in the course of his robbery spree he switched out the car's license plate with another green Honda to throw them off.
If you recognize the suspect or the car that was recovered, you're asked to call the Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. You could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
