LAKE MARY, Fla. -- Lake Mary High school’s Ram logo must be “butted” off campus by the end of the school year.
Just before Christmas break, the school received a letter from Chrysler's attorneys that said, "Chrysler cannot allow unauthorized use of its trademarks. Accordingly, we must insist that Lake Mary cease using the mark."
Chrysler insists it’s only trying to protect its trademark.
The school system has until the middle of June to comply with Chrysler’s wishes.
Lake Mary’s principal said he doesn’t know how much the changes will cost, but they are saving money on the replacement logo.
Local Chrysler franchise Orlando Chrysler Jeep Dodge is doing the design work for free.
