Teen Twirling Gun Shoots Friend

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A St. Petersburg teen was reportedly twirling a handgun on his finger when he accidentally shot his friend.
Police said the shooter and the victim, both 17, were hanging out at a St. Petersburg home Thursday afternoon when the shooting occurred.
The shooter was arrested on an unrelated charge of violating terms of his probation in connection with a drug-possession charge. He told police he found the .40-caliber handgun.
Police said the victim was in serious but not life-threatening condition.
Officers are continuing to investigate and additional charges related to the shooting are possible.
