Fire Extinguished In Winter Springs

Blaze Forced Officials To Evacuate Home, Deputies Say

A brush fire broke out Wednesday in Winter Springs, forcing officials to evacuate some homes, Seminole County sheriff's deputies said.

The fire burned near Chatham Pines Circle and Aldergate Place in the area of Red Bug Lake and Dodd roads before firefighters extinguished the blaze.

It's not known how many homes or apartments were evacuated.

No injuries were reported.
