POSTED: Wednesday, March 17, 2010
UPDATED: 8:32 pm EDT March 17, 2010

The former Oviedo High School teacher who admitted to giving alcohol to teenagers is now behind bars.

Meredith Witt was booked into the Seminole County Jail Wednesday afternoon after pleading no contest to giving alcohol to four teenagers, two of whom were her students, in November.

Witt is serving a 30-day jail sentence.

Prosecutors said that after giving alcohol to the teens, Witt also gave the keys to her SUV to one of them. He crashed the car and was arrested on drunk driving charges.
