ORLANDO, Fla. -- One person is dead and several others are injured -- including children -- from a multi-vehicle crash in Orange County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said three cars were involved in the Thursday night crash.
Six people, including three children, were injured when a Honda crossed into an oncoming lane and struck another car. That car crossed over the road and was hit on the side by an SUV.
The children, age 3, 8 and 14, were taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital. It is not known if they were in car seats or wearing seat belts.
The 32-year-old man who died has not been identified pending next of kin notification. He was driving the car, with three children inside, that drove into the oncoming lane.
Wilfredo Velazquez was driving the first car that hit the Honda. He was seriously injured and taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
It is not known if the crash involved alcohol.
It took 29 firefighters using special tools to free the four people who were trapped inside the wreckage.
