Authorities are still convinced that a man who threatened two women with an ax Thursday is still in an area in the Ocala National Forest.
Friday, searchers found what was believed to be the camp site of possible suspect Ron York, 57, hidden in the woods. Deputies confiscated several items from the site, including a machete, shovel and a bike. They also found York's Florida drivers license at the campsite.
Authorities said that the two women were walking on the St. Francis Trail at the intersection of state Roads 42 and 44 Thursday when a man the women identified as York approached them and said "You are bad people, you deserve to die."
The victims were able to escape without injury and later picked York out of a police lineup as the man who attacked them, according to Local 6 News.
Dozens of people and search dogs have scoured the area without finding York.
York was reportedly arrested twice in the early 1990s on kidnapping charges.
