Junkyard Fire Investigated In Orange County

POSTED: 1:04 a.m. EDT July 24, 2003
UPDATED: 10:26 a.m. EDT July 24, 2003

Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that burned about 25 cars at an Orange County, Fla., junkyard early Thursday, according to Local 6 News.

Flames were reported at the Roberson Salvage located near Ebans and Forsythe at about 3:30 a. m. this morning.

Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the flames without damage to surrounding areas.

The state fire marshal's office is reportedly calling the area a crime scene because the fire is being called suspicious. They are not sure who called 911 to report the fire or how the fire started.
