An 86-year-old driver plowed through six
cars and hit a building in Merritt Island, Fla., as he was attempting to leave a restaurant Thursday night, according to Local 6 News.

Police said that George Youngman of the 1300 block of Glen Eagles Way in Rockledge was attempting to exit the parking lot at Red Lobster in Merritt Island when he lost control of his vehicle.
Investigators said Youngman's 1990 Cadillac struck a van in the parking lot of the Red Lobster on State Road 520, knocking it into a pole. He pulled forward and struck the restaurant and five more parked cars, Trooper Kim Miller of Florida Highway Patrol said.
Youngman began driving eastbound on State Road 520, then turned around and headed west over the causeway into Cocoa. The car, with wooden splinters from the restaurant wedged in its front end, was stopped by Cocoa police a short time later.
Youngman's car sustained about $8,000 worth of damage. Only the van was towed from the parking lot.
He also was charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. FHP also will ask the Division of Drivers' Licenses to re-evaluate Youngman's license, Miller said.
"I really did it tonight," Youngman said. "I lost control."
There were no injuries in connection with the crash.
