Woman In Brevard Hits Gas Instead Of Brake, Injures 2

An woman driver in Brevard County, Fla., hit an oil change employee and then another car after she accidentally stepped on her car's accelerator instead of the brake, according to Local 6 News.

Authorities said that Anneliese Schwab Pouliot, 68, was attempting to move her vehicle at the Auto Lube Oil Change business in Melbourne, Fla., when the car sped forward and struck a 19-year-old employee. The woman's car then drove through some bushes and into state Road 192. It finally came to a stop after it hit a vehicle on 192, Local 6 News reported.

The woman said her foot slipped when she was attempting to move the car onto a rack.

The injured attendant and a motorist hit by the vehicle were transported to a local hospital, according to the report.
