A Bradenton, Fla., woman who suffered a severe asthma attack and was unable to reach a phone was saved after someone in her online chat room responded to her plea for help, according to a Local 6 News report.
Cindy Long said she was up late playing an online card game when she suffered a severe asthma attack brought on by her lupus.
Long was too sick to move and reach a phone.
"I thought I was just going to die and nobody would know because I couldn't get up and get the phone, Long said. "I was thinking about my grandchild and my daughters."
"I just said God don't let this happen to me," Long said.
When Long typed in the chat room for help, many thought it was a hoax, Local 6 News reported.

However, Alice McClanhan was convinced the woman was in trouble. McClanhan asked one woman to call 911 while she tried to track down Long's daughter.
"I couldn't sleep and got online," McClanhan said. "I just thank God I was there."
The woman was rescued and she is recovering.
