EAST BUCKLAND, England -- A British woman is claiming to be the owner of the world's smallest dog.
Tiny Tim is still a puppy but his owner Mandy Marks said he has not grown since he was 4 weeks old.At four inches tall at the shoulder, he is the smallest dog on record -- a title currently held by a Yorkshire terrier named Whitney, who's a half-inch taller, according to a report.Tiny Tim is four inches from nose to tail and weighs just over a pound.His size means that Marks has to be careful with him when guests are around, while she herself has been forced to change how she walks at home."I tend to slide my feet across the floor, so if I did step on him, I'd only push him to the side," Marks said.Marks is used to small dogs. Tiny Tim's mother, a Chihuahua, named Sparkles, and his father, a Shih Tzu, named Patch, are no giants either, but Tiny Tim is by far the smallest she has raised.
