Human Urine Samples Spill, Cover Roads
POSTED: Tuesday, March 30, 2004
Hundreds of urine specimen cups spilled out of a waste management truck near Memphis, Tenn. Monday covering the road with the human waste, according to a Local 6 News report.
Police said a hazardous materials team was called after the truck spilled the samples in Germantown.
Fire officials said that it appeared an employee from the Advance Toxicology Network placed tested urine samples in a recycling trash bin instead of one designated for medical wastes.
The truck made a trail of litter as it traveled down the road.
A city hazmat crew was called to the scene to prevent cars from driving through the urine. The streets were power washed, according to the report.
