3 arrested in Ocala cemetery vandalism

OCALA, Fla. - Ocala police have arrested three men on Tuesday in connection to the vandalism at an Ocala cemetery over the weekend.

Wade Allen Thomas Wagner, 20; Justin DeWight Raney, 21; and William David Petty III, 21 have been arrested and charged with third-degree felonies-injuring or removing tombstones.

Police said all three men told them they participated in the crime.

56 headstones were either pushed or kicked over, and numerous statues, flowers, other items were damaged. The vandals even defecated on some of the grave sites. A statue of Jesus was also found lying atop another statue, according to police.
