Deputies have charged three people on Tuesday in the deadly shooting at a Seminole County apartment complex earlier this month.
Joshua Geister, 22; Patrick Casey, 23; and Jermaine Wesley, 20 have been charged with the death of Larry Felton, Jr., 19, at the Pebble Creek apartments Dec. 8.
Deputies originally said the shooting occurred over a Craigslist deal gone bad, but on Tuesday, they said they believed the shooting occurred over drugs.
According to the report, Felton and Wesley went to the apartments to buy marijuana from Geister and Casey but decided to rob them. Investigators said Geister then pulled out a gun and shot Felton and Wesley. Felton died of his injuries.
Although Geister was the only person to open fire, investigators say Casey and Wesley are charged with murder since their role led to the shooting. Geister has been charged with second degree murder, attempted first degree murder, attempted sale of cannabis, and possession of cannabis over 20 grams.
Casey was charged with felony murder and attempted sale of cannabis. Wesley was charged with felony murder, armed robbery and possession of cannabis over 20 grams.
