Total of 8 women accuse Terry Freeman of rape

DELTONA, Fla. – Three more victims have come forward on Monday since a Deltona firefighter was accused of rape last week, prompting a Volusia County sheriff's deputy to call the man a "serial rapist."

Terry Freeman, 32, of Deltona, was arrested Dec. 31 after a woman claimed she was raped by him after they met at a Sanford furniture store.

On Jan. 2, three more women came forward, claiming they were sexually assaulted under similar circumstances, prompting deputies to arrest Freeman shortly after he was freed from jail, where he was held on the first charge.

The newest victims bring the total number of women accusing Freeman of sexually assaulting them after going on dates to eight.

More charges are expected to be filed against Freeman, who is still being held at Volusia County Jail.

Freeman has been placed on a leave of absence with the Deltona Fire Department.

Anyone with information about other incidents is urged to call the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
