Teen's Hands Severed In Machete Attack
Police Believe Attack Was Gang Related
Officers said the 16-year-old was walking along a street at about 1 a.m. when he was attacked by several people.
Detectives said one of the attackers had a machete and used it to cut off both of the boy's hands.
The teen had life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital, where he is expected to survive.
Doctors managed to reattach his hands. However, doctors said they could not save four fingers.
