Teens Reportedly Rob Wheelchair-Bound Man 3 Times

Neighbors Rescue Disabled Man

Two teens in Lake County, Fla., allegedly robbed a wheelchair-bound man who suffers with cerebral palsy three times before getting caught by a police K-9 unit, according to Local 6 News.

Investigators believe Michael Morrow, 18, and Brandon Woodall, 16, entered the home of Tim Pratt several times, stealing money on at least one occasion.

"It's heartbreaking that somebody can come in to a handicapped individual's home that can't do anything for themselves," Pratt's caregiver Lisa Mabee said.

Local 6 News reported that the teens reportedly stole a jar of money earlier this month. They then allegedly broke in to Pratt's home two other times.

"They went through his mother's bedroom through some boxes and they unplugged the phone lines," Mabee said. "They knew he could not defend himself."

On the third robbery attempt this week, two alert neighbors ran to help Pratt and stopped the teens from entering a getaway car.

"So the suspects fled down the street on foot and came back and had another confrontation with the neighbors," Lake County Sgt. Christie Mysinger said. "The neighbors again kept them from getting into their getaway car."

Police tracked down Morrow and Woodall a short time later near Pratt's home. The pair reportedly confessed to robbing Pratt, Local 6 News reported.

Pratt said it was a "miracle" that he was still safe.
