ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sheriff's investigators in Orange County, Fla., believe they have a compelling case against Orlando Magic television color analyst Jack "Goose" Givens on charges he molested a 14-year-old girl, according to Local 6 News.
Givens, 47, was arrested on sexual battery and lewd molestation charges Monday night after a girl told deputies he assaulted her several times at her home on June 18.
Investigators said the girl, who was participating in a summer basketball league, was reportedly visited by Givens for some coaching lessons.
Detectives said during the visit, Givens allegedly exposed himself, ordered her to touch him and then forced himself on her three different times, Local 6 News reported. The accusation says the incidents occurred in a swimming pool and a bedroom at the girl's house.
The sheriff's office described the sexual contact as digital penetration that involved the hands, according to the report.
The incident was reported to authorities five days after it allegedly happened -- June 23 -- by the girl's mother.
Givens has denied the allegations.
"Absolutely not true" Givens said. "Nothing happened. My character and my reputation speak for itself."
Givens was released from jail on $25,000 bond Tuesday.
