Workers at the restaurant were sent home Friday and the business shut down after they learned about the murders, Local 6 News reported.

Concerned Burger King co-workers were the ones who alerted the sheriff's office to the crime Friday morning.

Friday night, Burger King released an official statement concerning the incident:

"The franchisee is working very closely with the local authorities and Burger King Corporation is supporting the franchisee and his team through this very difficult time."

Counselors are being made available for staff members who feel they need it, according to the report.

The restaurant was expected to reopen over the weekend.
