The price of a one-day park admission will be increased to $59.75 beginning Jan. 2.However, a five-day park ticket will soon cost $193 and a seven-day ticket will cost $199, Local 6 News reported.Besides the new ticket prices, Disney has added more ticket options for visitors. If a one-day admission ticket is purchased, the ticket owner can spend two more days at a Disney water park or at the Pleasure Island complex for $45, Local 6 News reported Thursday.Disney hopes to get families to stay at the parks and hotels for longer durations, according to the report."I think what we find is that most of our guests are buying multiple day tickets so when they come into the market, they really want to focus on that," Disney President Al Weiss said. "And by giving them the ability to customize these tickets to their wishes and desires and their length of stay, we think we've really made a match that is going to be perfect for them."Although the one-day park ticket price is increasing, Florida residents will still get a 10 percent discount.Florida residents can also pay full price for a one-day Park Hopper ticket -- which has never been available to Floridians, Local 6 News reported.Residents who live in Florida can also buy two full-price tickets and get a third day for free under the new price plan, Local 6 News reported.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
