One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition and the others are said to be in good shape.

The rescue attempts began around 2 a.m. Wednesday, but as of 7:30 a.m., at least three crews, including a helicopter, were still searching. It is unclear how many more people may have been on the boat.

Rescuers brought the boat they were riding in back to the Coast Guard's base near Port Miami. The 20 foot boat appears to be missing its center console.
