Car Slams Into Orlando Home
Neighbor Says Cars Have Run Through Property Before
POSTED: Tuesday, February 8, 2005
An out-of-control car slammed into an Orlando, Fla., home Monday night and it's not the first time a vehicle has run through neighborhood yards, Local 6 News reported.
Witnesses said the driver of a car hit another vehicle at a stoplight near Powder Post Drive in Orlando at around 11:30 p.m. Monday night.
The vehicle continued through a neighbor's yard and barely missed a home's bedroom window. The car then smashed into another nearby house.
"This is the fourth car that has run into my yard," neighbor Dana Martin said. "It's just scary. I've got two young kids, an 8 year old and a 4 year old, always out here riding on their bikes. I have tried so many times to get someone to come out and take a look and to do whatever they can to put some speed bumps or whatever. I was told in order to get speed bumps, we're going to have to raise the funds for it ourselves."
No one was injured in the crash.
The driver of the car faces drunken driving and hit and run charges.
