ORLANDO, Fla. -- A 19-year-old man in Orange County, Fla., wanted for allegedly killing his 5-month-old daughter was arrested at a tattoo parlor while getting a halo, wings and his daughter's name tattooed on his back, according to Local 6 News.
Deputies arrested Wednesday Noah Redding, 19, for allegedly beating his daughter to death.
The incident report said the child had severe retinal hemorrhaging (bleeding behind the eyes), which is a condition commonly found in a child who has been shaken. The child also had a skull fracture and abdominal contusions that may have been caused by a strike or punch to the body, the report said.
According to arrest reports, the baby's mother left the girl in her father's care for 20 mintues. When the mother returned, the girl was unresponsive.
The child was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital in critical condition and later died from her injuries.
"'We did get a warrant for (Redding's) arrest for first-degree murder," Orange County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Solomons said.
Police finally located Redding at Smooth Vision Tattoos, located at 927 Goldwyn Ave., the report said.
"I was about to do the baby's name and they came in," Smooth Vision Tattoos artist Paul Olivencia said. "Homicide came in and then another homicide came in."
Local 6 News reported that Redding was arrested before the halo and name tattoo was finished.
The medical examiner has ruled the baby's death a homicide.
Redding is being held at the Orange County Jail without bond.
