Beekeepers Remove 3 Million Bees From Fla. Couple's Home

Beekeepers removed more than 3 million bees and 50 pounds of honey from the walls of a South Florida home, according to Local 6 News.

    Homeowners Michael and Margie Chavez said they had been hearing buzzing noises for the last five months in their Miami home but had no idea there was such a huge problem behind their walls.

    "I got near the wall and knocked on it and it sounded like a buzz saw in there," Margie Chavez said.

    The couple opened up a wall and found millions of bees swarming.

    They immediately notified beekeepers, who found more than 3 million bees in one area of the home.

    Beekeepers said it will take a few days to remove all the bees and their nest.

    The Chavez family said they will stay at a hotel until all bees are removed.
