A controversial auction in Chesterfield County, Va., Monday included the sale of Ku Klux Klan hoods, robes and other paraphernalia.
Dozens of people placed bids on the KKK memorabilia at Dixon's Auction House during a sale that caused a stir in the local community, according to a report.

Several KKK outfits sold for about $600 each."We don't do it to be derogatory or anything like that, it's just our culture and we enjoy it," customer Tammie Campbell said.According to auctioneers, a black family in Ettrick owned the KKK hoods and robes.A hood purchased at the sale will reportedly be on display at an African-American museum in Atlanta, Ga.Auctioneers were concerned how the public would react to the sale but believe the robes and hoods brought in the largest crowd.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
