A baby born with a third leg in Detroit is being called a one-in-a-million case by her doctors, according to a Local 6 News report.
The baby girl, named Destiny, was born three weeks ago at a hospital in Detroit.

Doctors performed surgery this week to remove the leg that was actually an undeveloped twin, according to the report.
"What destiny has was a twin that was attached to her, but really only the sort of lower half of that other twin," pediatric surgeon Dr. Daniel Teitelbaum said. "So, a leg, her hips, her pelvis."The baby's mother said she did not know that Destiny had a third leg until after birth."After the NIC unit came down and looked at her, that's when I found out that there was an extra leg attached to her," Destiny's mother Lisa Lunsford said.Lunford said she is praying for her daughter's full recovery.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
