FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. -- Several spectators in Florida were burned when a wayward rocket from an annual July Fourth fireworks display veered off course from a city pier and exploded in a crowd of people on a nearby beach, according to a Local 6 News report.
Home video obtained by Local 6 News showed a rocket set off from a pier slamming into a crowd of people.

"Everybody just started to run," a witness said. "There was a family of about five or six on the sand dunes or beach on a towel and they just started running as it exploded. It got quiet for a few minutes and then a few more shells started going and then a lot of them started to explode."
Flagler Beach Sgt. Dan Cody said six or seven spectators were treated for minor burns at the scene.
The fireworks were set off by a Florida company called Santore and Sons, Local 6 News reported. The company has been providing fireworks for the Flagler show for years and also has provided fireworks at the Daytona International Speedway for events.
The accident happened about 15 minutes into the city's annual fireworks display, which continued without interruption despite the injuries.
