NY Teacher Accused Of Raping Boy

A former English teacher at a Catholic high school in Colonie, N.Y., has been charged with rape for allegedly having sex with an 16-year-old student.
Sandra "Beth" Geisel, 42, was in court this week after being accused of having sex on two separate occasions with a 16-year-old male student while she was a teacher at Christian Brothers Academy.

Geisel, who is a mother of four children, was fired in late June after she was first caught having sex with a 17-year-old student in the back of a car.No charges were filed in that case because the 17-year-old was of the legal age of consent.It was during the investigation of that incident that police learned of the alleged sexual encounter with the 16-year-old student.Geisel was charged with two counts of third-degree rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.If convicted for statutory rape charges with the 16-year-old, Geisel could face two to seven years in prison.Her four children are now in the custody of their father.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
