Gov. Bush, President Featured In Video Game
Madden NFL Football Available To Public Tuesday
Madden NFL Football 06 was designed at an EA Sports complex located near Maitland, Fla. The company moved to Central Florida thanks to financial incentives, Local 6 News reported."By in large, our incentive programs have been quite successful," Gov. Bush said. "These are jobs that average I believe $70,000 a year for programming of these games."The highlight of the event was a surprise computer animation featuring Gov. Bush in a Miami Dolphins uniform and President George W. Bush, playing for the Dallas Cowboys. With time running out in the video game, Gov. Bush caught a long pass with only his brother to beat. Gov. Bush scored and the Dolphins won the game."The governor could barely contain himself as he watched himself in the game," Local 6 News reporter Chris Trenkmann said."George actually looks kind of like that," Gov. Bush said. "I do not look like as buff as that receiver for the Miami Dolphins that I played there. I cannot tell you how much fun this is going to be to send this to Crawford, Texas. I'm sure my brother will like it -- maybe not as much as me."Gov. Bush and President George W. Bush will not be featured in games available to the public.Madden NFL Football 06 goes on sale Tuesday at 12:01 a.m.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
