Police in New Smyrna, Fla., are searching Monday for the driver of a pickup involved in a crash that killed an officer, according to Local 6 News.Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the driver of a white Ford 150 pickup swerved in front of New Smyrna officer Roy Nelson as he traveled on the South Causeway in New Smyrna Beach at about 11:45 p.m.Nelson died in the crash, along with his K-9.Ceasar was Nelson's first police dog, said Cmdr. Bill Drossman.
