Just after 1 p.m. Monday, St. Johns firefighters were called put out the fire on I-95 near state Road 16 exit.

According to Jacksonville fire officials, Ladder 34 was returning to Jacksonville from Sanford, where a new generator had been installed. It wasn't immediately known what caused it to start burning, but it will be towed back to Sanford.

The truck is valued at $534,000 and was under warranty, WJXT-TV reported.

No one was injured and all but one northbound lane reopened in about 15 minutes.
