'I Eat Babies' Painted At Central Fla. Church
The vandals caused more than $1,000 worth of damage at the church.Besides the cost to fix the damage, church members said the "I eat babies" message is disheartening."I'm discouraged, really discouraged," church member Frank Monachello said. "It does not make me angry. It makes me discouraged that people would do something like that. It should not be.""The message, what does it mean? They also took green paint and totally ruined our signs," said Lula St. Jean, the secretary for the 800-member church. St. Jean said the vandals also painted a left turn arrow on a right turn only sign leading to the divided U.S. 1."That could have been bad for someone so we took that down," she said. "It's just so senseless."Church officials said they will replace the signs during the next few weeks. There are no suspects in the case.If you have any information concerning this crime, you are urged to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
