PALM COAST, Fla. -

Deputies in Flagler County are seeking the public's help in finding five people wanted in connection with the beheading of a statue.

A concrete statue of Venus De Milo was destroyed June 9 at the European Village in Palm Coast.

Deputies said the group was captured on video entering a courtyard and walking toward a water fountain.  As the men walked past the statue, they pushed it over, causing the head and arms to break, said deputies.

The group then ran toward Palm Harbor Parkway.

The head to the statue has not been found, according to deputies.

Video of the incident has not been released.

The culprits were described as one white woman, one white man and three black men, all of whom appear to be in their late teens or early 20s.  Deputies believe they all may live nearby.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call the Flagler County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS.
