Hall: Sorry, But No Apologies For Letter
Thursday, Hall spoke about the letter on the Guetzloe Report radio show on WAMT 1190.She said she wrote the letter, but she is not racist."That was definitely my letter," Hall said on the Guetzloe Report radio show. "Everyone should know it was my letter and I even signed the letter. I would never have written a letter I could not sign. I'm just so sorry it has offended so many people. When I wrote that letter, I never thought it would become public."The letter was made public, forcing Hall to resign in August.Hall said she has the right to free speech and stands behind her words."I do think we ought to close the doors and I gave reasons after the premise sentence that I think we ought to close the doors to all migration and I gave reasons why," Hall said.Several parents called the radio show in favor of Hall.However a group of protesters lined up outside the radio station during the show saying she is a racist."I think she is in the wrong career," parent Erica Wilbanks said. "And there are things in life you don't express or say to hurt anyone else."Hall has asked the Orange County School District for $20 million for violating her free speech rights in connection with the letter, Medina said.Watch Local 6 News for more on this developing story.
