Authorities in Titusville, Fla., are investigating reports that several buildings and piers sustained significant storm damage as high winds from Wilma roared through the area Monday.
"We do have some reports of certain portions of different buildings that have collapsed," Titusville police spokesman Warren Van Vuren said. "This most significant event we have had up to this point is that we have had some boats break loose from our municipal marina and these boats have caused damage, almost catastrophic damage, to our piers."
A nearby bridge was also damaged and closed because of storm damage.
Van Vuren said an overhang at a mall collapsed as well Monday.
There have been no reported injuries in connection with the damage, Local 6 News reported.
Van Vuren said law enforcement is still responding to storm damage 911 calls. There are approximately 1 dozen power lines down throughout the city.
