Wilma Winds Blamed For Blowing Semi Off I-4 Overpass
Police closed a portion of Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, Fla., after the big rig fell from the interstate, injuring the driver.After an investigation, authorities determined the storm was to blame for the crash."We have received word that he was blown off I-4 by one of the strong wind gusts that were coming in strong enough to topple that semi on to its side," Local 6 reporter Secily Wilson said.Local 6 News showed video of the big rig upside down near the road.The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital but is expected to survive.One of the southbound lanes of OBT was reopened to traffic Monday afternoon.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
